Littleton board set to back Amazon pact; traffic concerns remain

The Planning Board s approval on Jan. 7 of a special permit hinges on approval of the host community agreement.

LITTLETON Proponents of an Amazon facility have agreed to reduce van parking and other measures to meet traffic and safety concerns.
However, concerns remain, including from nearby Boxborough.
Wakefield-based NorthBridge Partners, owner of the former Digital site at 151-153 Taylor St., propose a so-called last mile facility for Amazon a site for deliveries to a 45-mile radius.
Changes in plan
Following a meeting with town officials, proponents agreed to reduce parking spaces from 691 to 450.
This means a decrease from 600 to 350 delivery vans, with the difference going to 60 flex driver vans and 40 so-called buffer vans used in emergencies. ....
