Two Republican governors have now enacted new state voting measures into law during closed door or press excluded signings, and by doing so some experts believe at least one of those politicians may have violated the First Amendment.
On Thursday, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Sunshine State’s new voting reform bill into law, but instead of inviting state and national media to watch the event, “reporters and television crews that showed up to cover the signing were turned away by the governor’s staff,” the Tampa Bay Times reported. ....

Florida bill would allow students to record professor lectures to use as political bias evidence

A new proposal in Florida would allow a student to record their college professors lectures in order to use the information as evidence of political bias. 
According to the bill, students would be permitted to conduct free-speech activities , including  all forms of peaceful assembly, protests, and speeches; distributing literature; carrying signs; circulating petitions; faculty research, lectures, writings, and commentary, whether published or unpublished; and the recording and publication, including the Internet publication, of video or audio recorded in outdoor areas of campus. ....
