New Delhi [India], April 7 (ANI): Senior IAS officer Sanjeev Kumar on Wednesday took over as chairman of the Airports Authority of India.
Prior to this, Kumar an IAS officer of the 1993 batch, Maharashtra cadre was posted as State Commissioner - GST of the Government of Maharashtra
As per a statement, Kumar has served in various ministries and departments of the Maharashtra government. He has also worked as the Joint CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and has also been MD of Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corporation. ....

Roorkee: The Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Roorkee organized the 4th edition of Prof. J B Lal Memorial Lecture. The online lecture on The Future of Chemical Engineering Teaching aimed to review the teaching of chemical engineering in the past and explore needed changes for the future.

Prof. Edward L. Cussler Jr. Emeritus Professor, Chemical Engineering & Material Science, University of Minnesota (USA), and Former President of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) graced the event as a key speaker at the lecture. GUWAHATI: Rahul Gautam, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers from UPSC s 1985 batch joined as the Additional General Manager of N.F. Railway recently. Prior to joining he was working as the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer of South Eastern Railway, Kolkata.
Gautam who completed his BE (Electrical) from the University of Roorkee started his career in the South Central Railway, Secunderabad. He worked for 8 years in manufacturing of Diesel/Electrical locomotives at the BLW, Varanasi and also underwent training in USA, Canada and Germany for Technology transfer of 4000 HP Diesel locomotives. ....

It was organized by the Department of Architecture and Planning in honour of Late Architect Padma Shri A.P. Kanvinde, who is also well known as the Father of Modern (Post Independent) Indian Architecture. The theme of the inaugural session was ‘Architecture in Context.’ The event was graced by Architect Rahul Mehrotra, a renowned scholar and Professor, Harvard University, USA and Architect Sanjay Kanvinde as esteemed speakers.
