SINGAPORE: Singapore Polytechnic (SP) students and staff who were on campus on or after Apr 29 will undergo COVID-19 swab tests from Wednesday (May 19), after three students tested positive for the virus.
All three cases are unlinked, said SP in a media statement on Wednesday.

A total of 6,500 students and staff members, as well as food court vendors who were on campus on or after Apr 29 will be tested. These groups will undergo swab tests: ....

Singapore Poly to test 6,500 students, staff for Covid-19 following 3 positive cases

SINGAPORE - About 6,500 students, staff and vendors at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) will be tested for Covid-19 from Wednesday (May 19), after three students earlier tested positive for the virus.
There is currently no evidence to show that these cases, which were reported on Sunday and Monday, are linked to one another, said SP in a statement.
However, given the three positive cases, as well as the locations and proximity of their schools in SP s campus, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has decided to take an additional precautionary measure to reduce the risk of transmission within our campus, it added.
The ministry prioritised several groups to be swabbed - about 6,500 students, staff and food court vendors from five schools in SP who were on campus on or after April 29. ....

A sensor network powered by an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm developed by scientists from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) can accurately detect, in real-time, gas leaks and unwanted water seepage into gas pipeline networks.
Successful in field trials conducted on Singapore s gas pipeline networks, the algorithm has been patented and spun off into a start-up named Vigti, which is now commercialising the technology. It has recently raised early start-up funding from Artesian Capital and Brinc, Hong Kong. ....
