Schools reopen in Odisha for students of classes 10, 12
After a prolonged closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, schools in Odisha reopened their classrooms to students who would shortly be appearing for their board examination, amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, a senior official said. 
Seats were arranged in a way to ensure all social distancing norms are followed, as faculty members, with an eye on meeting the 100-day teaching target, imparted lessons to students of classes 10 and 12.
All those who enter school premises will have to wear face masks and use sanitiser, the official said.
School and Mass Education Minister S R Dash stated that classes, with not more than 20-25 students, will also be held on Saturdays and Sundays. ....

Punjab reopens schools for students of Class 5 to 12 from today, issues fresh guidelines
Schools in Punjab for students of Class 5 to 12 reopens from today. The state s School Education Department on Thursday issued detailed guidelines for educational institutes in areas outside containment zones to ensure students safety amid the coronavirus pandemic. The schools will remain open from 10 am to 3 pm.
On Wednesday, Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla had informed that schools in the state for classes V to XII will reopen from January 7 with Covid-19 protocols in place.
However, Singla emphasized today that online or distance learning shall continue to be the preferred mode of teaching, despite the reopening of schools, and attendance of all students will not be mandatory. ....
