Credit Wabeno School Fab Lab and Shop Students have been able to create metal and wood signs, vinyl stickers and graphics, engravings on glasses and tumblers, and 3D printed a lot of prototypes. District Administrator Jeff Walsh says it teaches students a lot of valuable skills. “They can use this and go in many avenues. They could go to the workforce with the training they’ve had they can go to tech school with this, with the background they have and be ahead of the game,” said Walsh. ....

Voters within the School District of Phelps overwhelming passed its referendum, according to unofficial results Tuesday night. It’s a continuation of the operational funding that was set to expire this year. Voters approved $1.2 million a year for the next six years. Wausau School District voters passed one of two funding referendums. Voters approved a $4 million recurring referendum to cover operation costs. They did not approve a $149 million referendum for capital projects. The School District of Tomahawk failed to pass its operational referendum of $3.3 million a year for four years. It failed by 34 votes. In the fall, it failed to pass by 51 votes. ....
