The Oregon Department of Transportation is hosting an online open house from now until Dec. 17, addressing plans for a $134 million project that includes the installation of auxiliary lanes along Highway 217.
That same project will include the construction of a new Southwest Hall Boulevard overpass in Tigard, between Highway 99W and Pfaffle Street.
Highway 217 is a major thoroughfare that connects Beaverton, Tigard and the Portland metro area with approximately 120,000 drivers a day, said Kelly Martin, project manager for the Oregon 217 auxiliary lane project. The Beaverton and Tigard area have seen lots of growth in recent years, and we are excited to have received significant state funding for this project to be able to be able to help the local residents, bu ....
