Pair steals Apple watch at gunpoint during Chula Vista meetup, then crashes while fleeing, police say

Two thieves stole an Apple Watch at gunpoint in Chula Vista Monday during a meet-up arranged on the OfferUp app, then drove off. They were apprehended when they crashed the vehicle they drove off in, police said.
Police arrested the suspects, an adult and a juvenile, about 8:40 p.m. after the crash, near Brown Field Municipal Airport.
The pair and the victim had met up about 2 miles away at a Chevron gas station on Heritage Road near Avenida Escaya. When the victim handed the Apple Watch to the pair, who were in a vehicle, the driver passed the watch to the passenger, who pulled out a gun from a sweatshirt pocket, Lt. John English said. ....
