Ruth Luevanos Announces Bid For CA-25

SIMI VALLEY, CA City Councilwoman Ruth Luevanos on Monday morning announced her Congressional campaign for California’s 25th District. The swing seat, which includes portions of Los Angeles County, Ventura County, the San Fernando Valley, as well as the cities of Palmdale Santa Clarita, Lancaster, and Simi Valley, is currently represented by multi-millionaire, Trump-Republican Mike Garcia. A staunch supporter of progressive values and policies, Luevanos is the first Latina and the only current Democrat on the Simi Valley City Council, a position she was elected to with bipartisan support in 2018.
