Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial adds names of 3 fallen officers

The names of three fallen law enforcement officers were added to a memorial in Carson City on Thursday.
A ceremony was held to mark the addition of Lt. Erik Lloyd, Sgt. Ben Jenkins and Bailiff Gerald Smith to the Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial, located near the state legislature.
Erik Lloyd oversaw the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department s Force Investigation Team and was the president of the Injured Officers Police Fund.
He died in July last year due to complications of COVID-19, and LVMPD considered his passing a line of duty death. ....
