Early hepatitis diagnosis vital to save lives: experts

LAHORE:Veteran doctors and physicians speaking at a seminar warned against the fast growing cases of hepatitis in the country which, statistics say, was taking a life every fifteen minutes.
Early diagnosis is extremely vital for timely treatment and saving lives, they said while addressing the seminar titled ‘Hepatitis Can’t Wait’ under the aegis of Mir Khalilur Rehman Memorial Society (MKRMS) and Pakistan Society for Liver Diseases (PSLD) in connection with World Hepatitis Day.

ISLAMABAD: The second annual international conference of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicines (PSIM) will be starting here on July 30 (Friday) and will continue for three days.
Renowned Professor of Medicines Dr Ikram Javaid, who heads the society, announced that the theme of the landmark conference would be based on emphasis on adoption of evidence-based medicines.
The purpose of the theme is to impress upon the need to avoid medicines which lack credible impact over the diseases.
It is likely that a large number of doctors and practitioners from across the world would virtually and physically participate in the conference that would culminate on August 1. ....
