New Paso Robles homeless shelter exceeds goals in first four months


–After only four months, El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) Paso Robles has exceeded its opening goals at the new facility located in the former Motel 6 at 1134 Black Oak Drive in Paso Robles. More than 274 people, including 27 children, utilized the overnight shelter and ECHO services in the first four months. Through ECHO’s unique partnership with the Housing Authority of SLO (HASLO) and People’s Self-Help Housing, 10 individuals, who have been experiencing homelessness from the Paso Robles community, have already found permanent housing. ECHO’s original goal when opening was to place that number of people in some type of stable housing situation within six months. ....

Paso Robles Rotary and Rotaract clubs donate household items to families in need


Members of the Paso Robles Rotary and Rotaract Clubs recently provided over 100 bags of household items such as laundry detergent, paper towels, sponges, Kleenex, and toilet paper to needy families at the Oak Park Community Food Distribution.
