평택항에서 하역작업 중 숨진 고 이선호씨와 같은 항만 안전사고를 막을 법이 제정됐다. 항만에 특화된 안전관리체계를 구축토록 하면서 하역사업자에 대한 안전관리 의무도 부과한다.
해양수산부는 27일 국무회의에서 항만 종사자의 안전사고를 예방하기 위한 항만안전특별법 제정안이 통과됐다고 밝혔다.
항만은 하역·줄잡이·고박 등 다양한 업종의 종사자가 여러 장비를 활용해 작업하는 공간이기에 기존의 안전관리 체계만으로는 작업별 특성에 맞춘 안전관리를 시행하는 ....
