Cultural Organizations and Artists Receive Grants From Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs

Dickinson County, IA (KICD) A total of 267 cultural organizations and 152 artists serving 118 Iowa communities will be receiving $7 million in grants from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.One of those recipients in the KICD broadcast area is the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji which received $60,000. Executive Director Bob Kirschbaum says they are proud of the decisions they made to keep the art center running during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kirschbaum says one of those programs they enacted was grab and go bags full of art supplies to keep kids busy while things were closed up. ....
