Frank Trousdellâs full music career started getting very seriously in 1978 with a Canadian recording rock band out of Guelph called Copperfield. In 1985 Frank joined The Canadian Country Recording star The Danny Thompson Band as keyboard and Rhythm Guitar and second lead vocal. Then in 1990 Frank assisted on keys and second lead vocal, formulating Brantfordâs Southern Rock and âSteve Earl Clone Bandâ, âThe Other Kindâ. The Hammer Magazine of Hamilton Ontario covered Frank Trousdell recording session in 1991, at the famous Grant Ave., Studioâs, (owners Daniel Langois and Bob Doidge). Christine Conroy of The Hammer wrote, â Itâs becoming evident to me that I am in the company of some of the greatest Canadian Musiciansâ. Lanois passed away yesterday evening (April 19), though a cause of death was not revealed. He was 73. Hamilton Spectator that his friend and collaborator passed away around dinner time. Wilson told the paper that Hamilton has lost a jewel. Bob and Daniel Lanois began recording and engineering music in the laundry room of their mother s home in Ancaster, ON. Naming the basement studio MSR (Master Sound Recordings), the two soon began holding sessions at a flat rate of $60, producing artists and local radio jingles. As their popularity grew locally, the brothers continued to build out the studio with gear they both purchased and built themselves. ....
