Wicked Local More than $1 million in supplemental appropriations to the town’s fiscal 2021 budget are on hold after Town Meeting members raised concerns over the permissibility of the proposed transfers. Town Meeting members voted 30-6 to table Article 3 on the Town Meeting warrant, which requested using $535,000 in free cash and $506,000 in interdepartmental transfers to supplement the town’s fiscal 2021 budget. Town Manager Scott Crabtree explained the intent is to allocate $535,000 in free cash to cover the snow-and-ice deficit. Another $506,000 is slated to come out of municipal department operating budgets to go towards other line items in the budget, according to Treasurer/Collector Wendy Hatch. ....
