MERIDEN — The City Council, by nine-to-two votes on three separate resolutions, backed Fire Chief Ken Morgan’s request for a second deputy fire chief position to bolster his department’s administration.
The council, whose members met remotely through video conference Monday night, voted to adopt all three recommendations of its personnel, public safety and finance committees to establish the position, whose salary would be around $110,000. ....
