Mia Bays
Bays steps into one of the most influential roles in U.K. film, overseeing a fund worth approximately $42 million annually.
The British Film Institute has appointed Mia Bays as director of the BFI Film Fund.
Bays, currently director-at-large of the female-focused Birds Eye View film charity and due to take the position in October, will fill the role left open by Ben Roberts when he was promoted to CEO in early 2020.
The position is one of the key spots in the U.K. film industry, with Bays overseeing a fund worth around £30 million ($42 million) annually, the largest public fund for film.
