Education: 5-year Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University
Public service: Bourne Board of Selectmen, 2018-present; Bourne School Building Committee, 2015-present; Wareham Board of Selectmen 2006-2009. Public service and giving back to the community is a passion of mine and one I have been proud to be involved with for over 25 years.
How long have you served on the Board of Selectmen? Why are you running again?
I have served on the board for the last three years, and I have been proud and grateful to represent Bourne. This board has been highly professional and a pleasure to work with. We have tackled all of the challenges that have come our way, together. There are several challenges ahead for our town including wastewater, transportation infrastructure, development, and housing, and I would like to continue to keep our community on the proactive and innovative approach that we have initiated. ....

Julia W. Tucker


Word has been received that Julia Warren Tucker of Medford, Oregon, who maintained her ties to Bourne throughout her life, died December 21. She was 87.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of Richard Tucker and Shirley Keene Tucker. She grew up in Wellesley and in Bourne, where she and her mother spent time with her grandmother, Betsey D. Keene, who was the author of “History of Bourne 1622–1937.” Through her grandmother she learned the history of the town where the Keene family had lived for many generations, and would keep up with her connections to the residents of Bourne Village in the future. ....
