POLICE are appealing for information after a child was injured by a car which failed to stop. The incident happened last month in Ballards Walk, Basildon where a car collided with the child at a zebra crossing. On Wednesday, November 18 between 5pm and 5.15pm, the vehicle, described as dark coloured, failed to stop at the scene. The child sustained a fractured foot. A police spokesman said: “If you saw anything, have CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information, please call us on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/192114/20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.” ....
