Mike Collings made it a fifth Ballinger Belt title on Saturday.
Mike Collings has made it a famous five Ballinger Belt titles, after once more getting his hands on one of New Zealand’s oldest sporting trophies.
Collings, of the Te Puke Club, came up trumps in Saturday s final round of the five-day long-range target shooting competition at Seddon Range, Trentham.
Competitors shoot from 300, 500, 800, 900 and 1000 yards range, with the final round being from the 900-mark, with 15 shots counting, and Collings overcame his 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning team-mate John Snowden, who had been leading all week.
