Rhode Island 'chemical spill' sends several medical manufacturing facility employees to the hospital

Several employees at a medical manufacturing facility in Rhode Island were exposed to some sort of chemical irritant and transported to a hospital for treatment Thursday afternoon.
It seems to be contained to the facility itself, a spokesperson for the Pawtucket Police Department told Fox News. We re not sure exactly what the employees were exposed to, but we think it was some type of irritant.
Pawtucket’s acting public safety director, Chief Tina Goncalves, told WPRI that authorities were initially called to the scene and determined that an odor or smell in the air had caused [an employee] difficulty breathing. ....

Wheel comes off truck on Route 95, injures woman

The wheel bounced across the northbound side of the three-lane highway and over a concrete barrier into the southbound side, according to Yanyar.
After the wheel struck the windshield of the woman s SUV, the vehicle swerved right and hit a concrete barrier before going left across the southbound section of highway and hitting the concrete barrier on the left side, Yanyar said.
The driver of the pickup truck was able to pull over near the exit, Yanyar said. The police don t believe there was any criminal wrongdoing, although the crash is still under investigation, according to Yanyar.
It seems like a freak accident, he said. ....

The Rhode Island State Police announced on Saturday they are investigating yet another deadly crash the third in three days.
At approximately 3:30 Saturday morning, troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks, as well as members from the West Greenwich Police and Fire Departments, responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 95 South.
The investigation found that a 2010 Mini-Cooper, operated by Jason E. Reid, age 45, of Concord, New Hampshire, was traveling on Route 95 South in the Town of West Greenwich. After passing the Route 3 overpass, Reid failed to negotiate a left bending curve and veered right, consequently leaving the roadway.
