Sufra NW London is hoping to raise £60,000 during Ramadan with its ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ Appeal 2021.

A Neasden foodbank has launched a Ramadan fundraiser to support all those in need of aid as the covid pandemic continues to hover over the country.
Sufra NW London, in Pitfield Way, is hoping to raise £60,000 with its Ramadan ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ Appeal 2021.
Ramadan, which began on April 13, follows the sighting of the moon over Mecca and fasting lasts for 30 days.
This month many people are booking restaurants, flights and ‘staycations’ to enjoy newfound freedoms after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a return to normal life . ....

Sufra NW London volunteers made Christmas special in Brent

Foodbank staff in Neasden have thanked the public for their generosity in the run up to Christmas which led to a special day.
Almost a year into the pandemic and Sufra Foodbank & Kitchen NW London’s services have changed drastically.
In the week leading up to Christmas, the charity in Pitfield Way enabled a total of 280 food parcels to be distributed to almost 800 recipients and on Christmas Day, volunteers delivered a staggering total of 600 Christmas Dinners, directly to the doors of the most vulnerable within the community. ....

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate essential highway improvement works on Hertford Road EN3, the Council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Enfield (Hertford Road EN3 and Side Roads) (No.10) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2020 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit traffic, as detailed in the Schedule to this notice and as and when directed by traffic signs.
