First came the beats and now the movies.
With Nigerian popular music, including Afro-pop and Afro-beat, fast becoming a major sound in UAE clubs, it is now time for the country’s vibrant film industry to make similar inroads into our theatres.

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has gone to Dubai for Omo Ghetto The Saga premiere.
The 43-year-old shared a picture of herself in an Omo Ghetto customized shirt on Instagram on Tuesday.

She said the movie will be showing in some selected cinemas from January 21.
“How far Dubai? We don land o!!! #omoghettothesagamovie will be showing in UAE IN SELECTED NOVO CINEMAS from the 21st of January so get ready!!!” she wrote.
Her husband JJC Skillz also shared pictures on Instagram.
