Mark Aliff announces campaign for second Pueblo City Council Term

Mark Aliff is angling for a second term on Pueblo s City Council to retain the at-large council seat he has held since 2018.
As you get older, you want to make a difference in your community and you want to serve, he said. Pueblo has been so good to me and my family as a community, and it s a huge priority for me to give back. And I do that through city council.

Pueblo economy: Stable sales tax revenue and CARES funds helping city

Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar virtually presented his address on the state of the city Thursday and discussed the city s economy, infrastructure, community and housing.
Gradisar made note of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, specifically the many events that were canceled or reduced in size, and local businesses that are struggling due to increased health restrictions and business guidelines.
He offered condolences to Pueblo residents who have lost friends, family members or acquaintances to the virus, and asked for continued community support in 2021.
As we reflect on the state of the city, we should remember that we control our destinies and Pueblo has always been in it for the long haul, Gradisar said. Instead of being a year of economic development that I spoke about last year, 2020 was a year of economic survival. It has been a year where lives and livelihoods were at the forefront of our daily work life like never before in our lifetimes. ....
