Now we must implement that to the fullest and create a professional public relations plan to investors around Illinois both through the media such as advertising in Crain’s Chicago Business and appearances by city leaders at investment forums and visits to private equity firms selling them on opportunity in Peoria. In the end the tax abatement goes only to the individual owners of homes they occupy and that’s a powerful additional value that makes Peoria more competitive to invest in housing construction. ....
