During the recent lockdown, take-out food was the only thing going and Vanderwerff said 95% of the staff at the restaurant had to be laid off.
Matt MacInnis and his friend, Amelia Gray two of 10 patrons sat socially distanced in the restaurant, enjoying some red wine with their lunch.
“It’s a start at least. It’s nice to get out during the day and enjoy a restaurant, at least,“ said MacInnis.
He insisted restrictions still need to be “loosened up a bit.”
Gray said she was “definitely happy to be out and drinking wine.” ....
