Former Bucks first assistant DA pays over back over $8,400 for DoorDash job

The former second-in-command in the Bucks County District Attorney s Office made hundreds of deliveries for DoorDash while on the job last year, according to the Bucks County Controller s Office.
County Controller Neale Dougherty said in a news release Monday that his investigation showed that Gregg Shore, who was first assistant district attorney, made more than 300 deliveries for online food service during county work hours between April 2020 and March 2021.
Shore, who was demoted in March, resigned last month. Dougherty said Shore paid the money he owed, about $8,432, on Friday.
DA Matt Weintraub previously said Shore repaid the time with unused vacation time. However, Dougherty said that method was flawed, calling it novel but not proper on Monday. ....

A top Bucks County prosecutor who was demoted last month after his supervisors discovered he was moonlighting as a DoorDash driver on county time has resigned.
Gregg Shore, 49, stepped down from his position as a deputy district attorney Tuesday, according to county officials. He did not return a request for comment.
District Attorney Matthew Weintraub, in announcing Shore’s demotion, said his conduct was “indefensible, thoughtless, selfish and so stupid.” But Weintraub didn’t fire Shore, noting his decade of service to the county, including the high-profile prosecution of Cosmo DiNardo and his cousin Sean Kratz for a series of 2017 murders in Solebury Town ....
