Family Sues SpaceX for Negligence After Texas Crash Kills Man, Seeking $20M

A Texas family is suing SpaceX for negligence following a vehicle accident near the company s Boca Chica facility outside Brownsville that led to the death of a father-of-three.
Carlos Venegas, 35, was driving west along State Highway 4 with his wife and children at just after 4 a.m. on June 7, 2020 when their pickup truck crashed into the rear of an eighteen-wheeler commercial trailer, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Venegas, from San Benito, died at the scene due to blunt force trauma to his head, while the other passengers, including his children aged 14, 11 and two, suffered spinal and leg injuries. ....

US LNG company NextDecade said April 14 it had signed an engineering agreement with a division of Mitsubishi to develop post-combustion carbon capture technology for the Rio Grande LNG export facility in Texas.
NextDecade signed an engineering services agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to utilise a proprietary process developed by the Japanese company that uses a specialised solvent to help facilitate CO
2 recovery.
“This will be the world’s first application of post-combustion capture for LNG, and we expect this initiative will contribute to realising carbon neutrality in the years ahead,” Yoshihiro Shiraiwa, the head of the Japanese division, said. ....

When Bradley Freeman Jr.’s mom saw a photo of Wesley Walker, the Muppet that he’s been bringing to life for “Sesame Street,” she said, “That looks like you.”
“I was like, that’s kind of the point,” said Freeman, 22, who grew up bouncing between San Antonio and Brownsville. “That’s exactly who Wes is intended to be. If I had seen Wesley as a kid, I would have been his biggest fan.”
Wesley is one of two Black Muppets introduced in March on the online platforms run by the Sesame Workshop, which produces the venerated children’s program. ....
