QUINTE WEST In response to Premier Doug Ford’s announcement this past Thursday mandating a provincial shutdown, the City of Quinte West is taking action to protect residents and staff.
Starting Saturday, April 3, Quinte West City Hall and the Frankford Municipal office will be closed to the public. Residents are encouraged to visit quintewest.ca for information about online payment options. City business will be available by email and telephone. If you must pay by cash or cheque, there are drop boxes available at City Hall and the Frankford Municipal Office. ....

Quinte West City Hall and Frankford Municipal Office will reopen to the public, Feb. 10. All visitors to City Hall are required to wear a non-surgical mask. A greeter will perform screenings and ensure that a limited number of people will be admitted into the building at a time to maintain safe physical distances.
The City urges people to continue doing business online or over the phone whenever possible. Some services will only be available on an appointment basis. If you are unsure whether a service will be available, please call ahead. If you are feeling ill or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home. ....

As of January 14, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., the City of Quinte West has closed all outdoor skating rinks in Batawa as well as the Kinsmen Community Dog Park.
Quinte West’s Emergency Control Group met Wednesday to discuss Premier Doug Ford’s announcement of a province-wide Stay-at-Home Order.

Updates from Quinte West about lockdown


Closures will be in effect until January 25.
Residents who are looking to make payments to the municipality can drop off a cheque or cash to the drop boxes outside of City Hall and Frankford Municipal Office.
The City will be issuing refunds for those what had booked out municipal spaces during the lockdown, like the arena.
Those who require licensing services will have to book an appointment ahead of time by visiting the website or calling the municipality directly.
