Jan 8, 2021 Francis P “Pucky” Mistretta, 86, of Jamestown, passed away Dec. 30, 2020, at Heritage Park. He was born April 6, 1934, in Jamestown, the son of Joseph and Mary Inserra Mistretta. Pucky attended James-town High School, where he was extremely athletic. He played football, basket-ball, and ran track. His picture was often in the news-papers for his athletic achievements. After graduating high school, Pucky attended Jamestown Community College, where he found his love for the theatre. He played the character of Herbie in Jamestown Community College’s production of Gypsy. He loved singing and acting. Pucky sang locally in many bars and restaurants. After working construction at the local 600 union, Pucky decided to move to Hollywood, Cal-if., to concentrate on singing and acting. He worked at Desilu Studios, helping behind the scenes on many different shows. He took the stage name Frankie Mayo and started to preform in famous nightclubs in Hollywood. ....
