China on Monday termed as outright lies the media reports that its military scientists investigated weaponising coronaviruses five years before the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and said it is an attempt by the US to smear the country.

Doha: Qatar has emerged as one of very important hub of organising logistics for medical assistance from all over the world to India and is preparing to dispatch 1,200 metric tonnes medical oxygen to India from Qatar.
“Following the directive of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), is working on supplying more medical assistance as per the requirements in India to fight COVID-19,” said Ambassador of India to Qatar, H E Dr. Deepak Mittal.
Speaking at a press conference held at the premises of Indian Embassy yesterday, the Ambassador said that the requirements of India are liquid medical oxygen, oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, oxygen generating plants, Remdesivir medicines among others. ....

New Delhi [India], May 5 (ANI): British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis on Wednesday said that the Indian government is better positioned to work out where the goods, ventilators or oxygen concentrators procured from the United Kingdom are best applied.
The way we work is working through the government of India. The things which we have flown over are things that are being specified by the foreign ministry and health ministry, he said. ....

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], May 4 (ANI): An Indian Air Force aircraft, carrying 450 oxygen cylinders each of capacity 46.6 litres from the United Kingdom, reached Chennai early on Tuesday morning.
According to Chennai Customs, they completed all customs clearances within fifteen minutes as soon as the first batch of cylinders reached the Chennai International Airport.

New Delhi [India] May 3, (ANI): The first batch of 900 oxygen cylinders offered by the British Oxygen Company was airlifted by Indian Air Force (IAF) to India on Monday.
The British Oxygen Company has offered 5000 oxygen cylinders to India to help the country in its fight against rapidly spreading second wave of COVID-19.
In a tweet, the High Commission of India, London said: 5000 Oxygen Cylinders (46 Ltr) contributed free of cost by British Oxygen Company. 1st batch of 900 cylinders airlifted by Indian Air Force @IAF MCC to India this morning.
