Jersey s Jack Butel has set his sights on top ten finishes in this season s British Touring Cars Championships.
The 25-year-old, who made his debut in the Championships in 2020 with Ciceley Motorsport Racing, accumulated his first points in his maiden season.
Now he says he wants to build on that progress and has set his sites on finishing higher up the pack.
We got in the points last year, there s no reason why we can t do the same again this year and keep up there, maybe get some top tens. I think it s achievable with the car we ve got and the data we ve got. There s no reason why we shouldn t be aiming that high. ....

Rick Parfitt Jr has become the first rookie driver confirmed on the 2021 BTCC grid after securing a deal to complete the EXCELR8 Trade Price Cars line-up.
Parfitt, the only driver to win both the GT3 and GT4 titles in the British GT Championship, will line up alongside Tom Ingram, Chris Smiley and Jack Butel at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N Fastback for what will be his first taste of touring car racing.
The 46-year-old will be making his return to racing having missed the entire 2020 season in order to recover from major surgery for Crohn’s disease early last year. ....

Motorbase Performance will race under new ownership in the 2021 British Touring Car Championship after being acquired by AmD Tuning boss Shaun Hollamby and Pete Osborne, father of current racer Sam.
The pair will take over the Ford outfit from long-time team principal David Bartrum, who has taken the decision to step aside from the team he founded back in 2004. Hollamby will take on the role of team principal, with Osborne as managing director.
Under Bartrum’s stewardship, Motorbase enjoyed years of success in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, British GT and BTCC, including winning five times last season thanks to Rory Butcher and Sam Osborne. ....
