The Maui County Service Center at Maui Mall will close in phases on Thursday and Friday as employees relocate to the new facility at 110 ‘Ala’ihi Street in Kahului, the county announced.
The last day for public service for the Department of Finance Real Property Assessment and Treasury divisions at the mall will be Thursday, while the final day for the Division of Motor Vehicles & Licensing will be Friday.
The Assessment and Treasury divisions will reopen Tuesday at the new facility. The Treasury Division will accept over-the-counter payments for the first time for water and solid waste services and will continue to accept payments for real property taxes. ....

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - An employee at the Lahaina DMV office has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the office to close for the next ten days, a Maui County spokesperson said Thursday.
The employee was reported to be asymptomatic and was self-quarantining, and other employees who work in the office are also quarantining.
County health workers were said to be conducting contact tracing for members of the public who had been serviced by the employee. ....

Lahaina DMVL office closes after employee tests positive for COVID-19

LAHAINA The Department of Finance Lahaina Division of Motor Vehicles & Licensing office is closed for 10 days, beginning immediately today, after an employee reported testing positive for COVID-19.
The employee is asymptomatic and self-quarantining. Other Lahaina office employees are also self-quarantining and will be contacted by the Department of Health. Additionally, members of the public who were serviced by the employee will be contacted by the Health Department.
“I thank the Department of Finance and its Division of Motor Vehicles & Licensing for taking immediate action to close this office for the health and safety of our employees and the general public,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. ....
