Every community has its leaders, influencers, and examples of gifted and giving people. The greater Kenosha County area has always had more than its share of these people. But, time is relentless, and the past year has seen a number of these exemplars left us.
The light of our community is dimmed by their loss. This is, by no means, a complete list of those people, but here are some of those giving and influential people our community has lost in the past 12 months.
Gary Kaddatz
Two-term trustee for the Village of Paddock Lake, Gary Kaddatz passed away Dec. 31, 2019 at age 68.
But, as with so many things in 2020, this production will look different.
First, itâs happening online only and can be viewed over Zoom or on the Fleeing Artists Facebook page.
Second, the cast â which featured just eight actors in 2018 and 2019, playing multiple roles â has expanded to 34 people.
And, perhaps most importantly, the show is dedicated to Philip Jaeger, a local theater veteran who played Scrooge in the troupeâs first two productions. Jaeger died Oct. 26.
Alex Metalsky, one of the Fleeing Artistsâ founders, said Jaeger âis our motivation behind doing the show. Phil played Scrooge in both of our âChristmas Carolâ shows and played the role a dozen times with several theater groups.â
