KALISPELL â The Flathead Electric Cooperative (FEC) is gifting members with Energy Saver Kits to promote saving members up to one hundred dollars on their electric bill.
The kits contain LED light bulbs, an energy-efficient power strip, and high-efficiency shower heads.
FEC is obligated by the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) to use grant programs to promote energy efficiency, and if they do not use the grants, the money will be diverted to other areas in the Northwest.
The kits are available on a first-come first-serve bias, and it also offers members an opportunity to stock up on the bulbs as there is a shortage worldwide that has yet to be seen in our area. ....

Flathead Electric Co-Op outage map shows all power has been restored as of 6:00 p.m Wednesday.

According to the Flathead Electric Co-Op outage map, over 3,800 residents in and around Kalispell are without power.
Flathead Electric Public Relations Officer Wendy Ostrom Price says that a truck had snagged a line within city limits along Whitefish Stage Road.
Price says the line had caused a failure to areas outside of Kalispell such as Kila and Marion.
Another outage had been identified along Meridan Road from equipment failure. ....
