New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) With the surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in the national capital, Delhi Congress chief Chaudhary Anil Kumar on Saturday said that the party will collect plasma from its workers to help the coronavirus patients in need.

With many hospitals still facing a shortage of Remdesivir, a few doctors are shocked over the black-marketing of this key drug used in the treatment of
Covid.
Vijaysai Reddy, medical director of Best Hospital said, “The medicines meant for hospitals are being siphoned off by middlemen. We placed an indent on April 5 for Remdesivir but we are yet to get stocks. Usually, we get stocks in 24 hours. Now we are forced to ask the patients’ attendees to get the medicines. Besides selling a Rs 1,500 vial for Rs 18,000, the black marketers do not give bills and it becomes difficult for families of covid patients to claim insurance.” ....
