New Delhi, March 11 (IANS) Pakistan s lone skeet shooter Usman Chand has got a visa to travel to India and will, after all, compete in the New Delhi World Cup this month, Razi Ahmed Khan, secretary general of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP), said on Thursday.

A man who held what his victim thought was a pistol to his head was sentenced when he appeared in Dannevirke District Court.
Shannon Dean Wilson, 42, was charged with threatening to kill/grievous bodily harm and presenting a firearm-like object on September 27, 2019.
Wilson had pleaded not guilty to the charge but counsel Lisa Grant asked Judge Lance Rowe for a sentencing indication.
She said Wilson was no longer living in Dannevirke and was now settled in Feilding with his three children. ....

Marion County man admits to firearms charge

CLARKSBURG — A Fairmont man admitted to a firearms charge in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg on Tuesday.
Terrance Cecil Clark, 27, pled guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, said acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.
Clark, who is prohibited from having a firearm because of prior convictions, admitted to having a 9-millimeter pistol in May 2020 in Marion County. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi on Tuesday.
Clark faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant. ....

A new modular pistol named Lebedov developed by Kalashnikov Group has passed state trials.
In February 2021, the Lebedev modular pistol successfully completed state trials. The pistol was being created under a technical assignment from the National Guard as part of the ‘Rys’ experimental design work, ‘Developing an Advanced Pistol Chambered for the 9x19 mm Cartridge with Expanded Tactical Capabilities,’’ the company announced today.
Russia’s state commission approved the results of the pistol’s state trials and recommended that the handgun be accepted for service in the National Guard, Kalashnikov added. ....
