Washington Health System launched its vaccination clinic Monday at the Peters Township Community Recreation Center.
“They’re using one of the basketball courts, half the gym,” township manager Paul Lauer reported at that night’s meeting of Peters council. “That clinic is going to run six days a week, 10 hours a day. Today, they did just shy of 250 vaccines.”
The health system’s intent at this point, he said, is to vaccinate 300 people a day at the site.
“Their hope is to be able to ramp that up, and having stopped over there today,” Lauer said about his visit to the center, “they certainly have the capacity to do far more vaccinations there than what they did today.” ....
