MLW Crowns 2021 Battle Riot Winner MLW National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone is now the new No. 1 Contender for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship after securing a victory over 39 other athletes in tonight’s MLW Battle Riot III. Hammerstone will now have the opportunity to face off for the main title, currently possessed by Jacob Fatu. The match concluded with Hammerstone and his old arch-rival/CONTRA Unit’s own Mads Krügger in the ring. Hammerstone ducked a possible spike stabbing and used that same spike on Krügger. He then threw “The Black Hand of CONTRA” over with a big back body drop. As Krügger laid up against the ropes, Hammerstone seized the opportunity and sent Krügger crashing to the floor with a nasty clothesline for the overall victory. ....
May 10, 2021 09:39 am Tuolumne County Alliance for Resources and Environment (TuCARE) was established in 1988 to enlighten and advise the public about the wise use of our natural resources. TuCARE and TUD certainly agree that water is one of our most precious and vital resources, and is critical to a healthy environment, prosperous local economy, and quality community. Unfortunately, recent actions and public statements by board members Balen, Murphy, and Ringen have led TuCARE to conclude that TUD’s mission is being set aside in favor of these directors’ political and personal agendas. Specifically, at the February TUD board meeting, TUD staff gave a presentation regarding the County’s water supply and snowpack. That presentation demonstrated that, although the 2020-21 water year is indeed well below average, the County nonetheless has ample water in the form of storage and anticipated runoff to meet existing demand into the 2021-22 water year. However, Directors Ba ....
Just seconds before MLW concluded this week’s episode of Fusion, the National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone held a press conference, where he called out the MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu for a match. The Phoenix Powerhouse noted how he’s getting sick and tired of hearing the age-old question of who is the best champion in the company. Hammerstone thinks he and Fatu are on the same level, but there can only be one pure champion. He concluded his conference by saying the ball is in the Samoan Werewolf’s court on where this goes next. Earlier this month, Hammerstone spoke with our very own Managing Editor, Nick Hausman, on ....
Pinecrest Lake Sonora, CA A virtual informational session is planned for Thursday morning in which TUD officials will provide an update on efforts to acquire assets like Pinecrest Lake and Lyons Reservoir from PG&E. We reported last March that TUD and PG&E are in exclusive negotiations regarding the potential transfer of the Phoenix Hydroelectric Project, Main Tuolumne Canal, pre and post 1914 water rights, and the reservoirs. As for the history, The Phoenix Project dates back to the Gold Rush and is located on the South Fork of the Stanislaus River. It provides the majority of TUD’s water supply via the Main Tuolumne Canal, which was built in 1851 to support mining and irrigation needs. It generates 2 megawatts. ....
