ISLAMABAD: While affirming commitment to Pakistan, Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor Wang Yi has said China will always stand firmly with Pakistan no matter how the world changes.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, through a video link, was addressing a conference titled “Pakistan-China At 70: A Unique Bilateral Partnership” arranged by the Pakistan-China Institute (PCI) in commemoration of 70 years of Pakistan-China relations. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also addressed the conference.
The conference brought together China and Pakistan’s key government officials, academicians, journalists, students and civil society members under one roof. The conference featured 24 esteemed panelists from Pakistan and China, who talked with one voice about the importance of upholding Pakistan-China all-weather strategic partnership.

No doubt education is very important subject and basic need of every citizen of the country, but, unfortunately, since the last few years, this important subject has not been of priority among the concerned authorities. It is indeed unfortunate that rather than increasing the education budget, it has been decreased, and due to this, universities and Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) have suffered the most. Certainly, it should be the first and foremost responsibility of the governments, education ministry, and the concerned authorities, like the Higher Education Commission (HEC). MoITT and Huawei to Extend ICT Training to 1000 Govt Officials
President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for promoting Knowledge-Economy and digitalization of Government organizations to enhance the efficiency of work and service delivery.
He said that Pakistan was blessed with immense talent and resources and the government was making serious efforts to channelize this potential in the right direction. The President stated this while talking to a delegation of Huawei, led by the Vice President of Huawei Middle East Region, Spacelee, who called on him, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today.
Spacelee gave a presentation about the role of his organization in the promotion of IT Skills in Pakistan. He informed that Huawei had contributed to Pakistan’s economy by providing 10,000 jobs and paying $120 Million in taxes to the Government from 2018 to 2020, besides spending $6 Million to support disaster-relief efforts of the government.
