Prof. Partha Ghosh to keynote Vision-Aid's 2021 Annual Event on August 1

LEXINGTON, MA– Vision-Aid announced that Prof. Partha Ghosh will be the chief guest and keynote speaker for Vision-Aid’s annual event this year on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 at 4:00 PM.
The 2021 event will feature a unique Broadway-style dance virtual production “The Seven Selfless Sovereigns”, featuring over 50 dancers and several dance teachers working under the guidance of renowned dance choreographer and producer from India, Madurai R. Muralidaran. Vision-Aid has acquired a reputation for bringing spectacular productions to Boston, year upon year for over a decade, to thrill audiences, while raising funds to support its many programs.
Funds raised from this year’s event will help to support Vision-Aid’s innovative programs at over 20 locations across India including Vision-Aid centers of Excellence, at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, the L.V.Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, Shroff Charity Eye Hospital in Delhi and Sankara Nethralaya in Che ....

LEXINGTON MA–Vision-Aid announced the creation of a new center of excellence in partnership with the global leader in eye care, the L.V.Prasad Eye Institute. Support for this major new initiative comes from the Palakurthi Foundation of Massachusetts, USA a philanthropic foundation created by Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi of Weston, MA.
The Palakurthi family dedicates this center to the loving memory of Prashanth’s father – the late Dr. Krupasagar Palakurthi and his mother Vasantha Palakurthi. The Center will be named as the “Vasantha-Krupa Palakurthi Vision-Aid Center of Excellence” located at the Hyderabad campus of the L.V.Prasad Eye Institute. BOSTON A panel of nine independent judges on Saturday broke from the tradition and chose 27-year-old climate activist Varshini Prakash as Woman of the Year 2021. Ms. Prakash was on the TIME 100 Next List in 2019 and also made to Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30 2020.
