Travis and Tyler Koschnick are the sons of Jack and Barb Koschnick. Travis was a golfer and played basketball and baseball in school. He graduated in 1990 from Colonel Crawford H. S. and went on to Bluffton College.
Travis took business courses and graduated in 1994 with a bachelor of business degree. He started work June 1994 at the Crawford County highway garage across from the fairgrounds. He worked four summers and placed his application in for a full-time job when he was a senior in college. They called and asked if he would like a job with them, and he’s been there ever since. ....

BOARDMAN Edison G. Lugibihl, 97, formerly of Hitchcock Road in Boardman, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Edison, known by his family and friends as “Ed,” was born April 25, 1924, in Pandora, the son of the late Orrie and Lydia Badertscher Lugibihl.
He graduated from Pandora High School in 1942. Edison served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Following the war, Edison received his bachelor’s degree in education from Bluffton College. He moved to Boardman in 1950 and continued his education, receiving his master’s degree in education and principal certificate at Kent State University. ....

The definition of a mentor: Remembering Coach Bill Ramseyer

We brought a young family to Wilmington in 1973. Taking a teaching job at Laurel Oaks allowed me plenty of time for summer work and baseball.
For five summer seasons I coached a high school-age baseball team at Galvin Park. The park was overseen by Don Harte and Bob VanPelt at that time, and when they stepped aside, Dauna Armstrong took over; all three did a terrific job.
Oh, how those summer games were so exciting … Baseball was my passion, having played a lot in high school and beyond. I guess at age 24, I thought I was Sparky Anderson, but we had good, exciting baseball despite the young coach. ....
