Brevard Republicans to hold in-person meetings despite COVID-19 scare

Some leaders of the Brevard Republican Executive Committee expressed concerns Friday about holding in-person meetings this month after at least one contracted COVID-19 following February s executive board meeting.
District 4 Chair Susan Hodgers said she was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Feb. 14, four days after the February general meeting of BREC and six days after a meeting of its executive board.
I was just really tired on that Friday, Hodgers said. On Sunday, what made me to go to urgent care was I lost my sense of taste and smell.
Subsequent tests confirmed she was positive for COVID-19, she said.
(I was) extremely fatigued, severe headache and a little bit of brain fog, Hodgers said of the next few days. She received IV treatment, but was not otherwise hospitalized. I have a history of asthma, so I get very nervous, she said. ....
