China-US Experts Develop First Human-Monkey Embryos: Some Critics Find These Chimeras Could Be Close to Real People

Some experts in the United States and China were able to achieve the first human-monkey embryos. These mixed embryos or chimeras are currently great innovations since they can be used by other scientists in the future, especially in the medical industry. 
These embryos were put in test tubes for around 20 days, as explained by the involved scientists in a joint research team from China and the U.S.
This is not a work of bad taste, but [one] of highly practical value, said the lead author of the new study, Tan Tao. 
A remarkable step has been taken scientifically that raises urgent issues of public concern. We need to figure out what the right pathway forward is to help guide responsible progress, added Nita Farahany, a bioethicist of Duke University.  ....

Greater Sydney Halfway in Journey to a Million Trees | Architecture & Design

Planted at Bungarribee Park in Blacktown last Thursday, the 500,000th tree is a major milestone of the $10 million Premier’s Priority of Greening Our City initiative, which was announced in June 2019. The initiative is part of the Five Million Trees Program, which aims to plant five million trees in Greater Sydney by 2030.
Stokes says the government’s program is part of the bigger picture in Sydney’s future.
“Our vision is for a city within a park, where people can walk or cycle to world-class public green spaces framed by trees,” he says.
“We’ve brought the latest round of the $10 million Greening our City grant program forward to take advantage of the better planting conditions as a result of the La Nina weather pattern.” ....
