• Unauthorized use of a white 2002 Ford F-350 truck was reported Saturday from the 5000 block of Cherry Run Road NW in the Strasburg area. The owner lent the truck to his son, whose girlfriend was the last person to have it. Attempts to reach the girlfriend by phone and in person were unsuccessful.
• A wallet was stolen from an unlocked truck Friday night in the 400 block of Heritage Drive in the village of Tuscarawas.

• A customer s cell phone was taken at 10 a.m. Friday at Denny s.
• A blue Schwinn bike was stolen in the 200 block of Fair Avenue NW on Friday.

The United Way of Tuscarawas County celebrated the conclusion of its 78th annual fundraising campaign with a virtual awards ceremony sponsored by Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. Bob Alsept, superintendent of Buckeye Career Center and 2020 United Way campaign chair, announced a record breaking campaign total of $604,439.98.
“This is an amazing total. As a person who was born in Tuscarawas County and has spent most of my life in this area, I am not surprised. I have seen this county pull together time after time. This campaign is no different. The pandemic has created uncertainty and great need,” stated Alsept. “It would have been understandable for the people of our area to hold back and conserve resources, but residents gave more than ever before. They dug deeper to help their neighbor. Included in this total is over $82,000 donated to the Covid-19 Community Response Fund.
