Sabrina Landreth becomes first female GM of East Bay Regional Park District

Sabrina Landreth has been appointed as the East Bay Regional Park District’s (EBRPD) new general manager, becoming the first female and 10
th GM in the Park’s 87-year history.
Landreth, a fifth generation East Bay native, UC Berkeley alum and former Oakland City Administrator from 2015- 2020, will succeed Robert Doyle, who recently retired following a 47-year career with the district.
Landreth will begin her new position on March 15.
“I am honored to be appointed by the Board as the District’s next General Manager,” Landreth said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing to build upon the great work the District does to improve the quality of life for our East Bay community, while adhering to its social and environmental responsibilities.” ....

Rigoni was elected to the Lockport Township Park District board in 1997, serving 10 years as vice president and for the past six years as president.
LOCKPORT, IL Jeff Rigoni, President of the Lockport Township Park District, had been reelected as Vice Chairman of the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ Board of Trustees, according to a release from the park district.
Rigoni joined the IAPD board in 2017, the park district said. As Vice Chairman, he will assist the association with its mission of advancing Illinois park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation, and special recreation agencies in their ability to preserve natural resources and improve the quality of life for all people in Illinois. ....

Two new Democratic Senators were sworn in Saturday to fill vacancies in the Illinois General Assembly.
Doris Turner, a former Springfield city councilperson, and Mike Simmons, former policy director for Mayor Rahm Emanuel, are also the two newest members of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus.
The two Democratic appointments to the Senate follow the recent selections of Adriane Johnson, Cristina Pacione-Zayas and Sally Turner to vacancies in the 30th, 20th and 44th Senate Districts, respectively. They’ve replaced retiring senators through appointments from party officials.

SPRINGFIELD Two new Democratic Senators were sworn in Saturday to fill vacancies in the Illinois General Assembly.
Doris Turner, a former Springfield City Council member, and Mike Simmons, former policy director for Mayor Rahm Emanuel, are also the two newest members of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus.
