Pottstown Investors Conference returns, will focus on social justice, equity in business; resilience of Pottstown entrepreneurs


POTTSTOWN — The Pottstown Investors Conference is returning for its fourth year — after being cancelled last year due to the spreading coronavirus pandemic.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 16, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will be held virtually. Sponsored by Hobart’s Run, The Hill School, Pottstown Area Industrial Development Inc. (PAID Inc.), the conference will highlight social justice and equity in business and the resilience of Pottstown entrepreneurs.
Participants will also hear timely Pottstown investment opportunity news and hear from two nationally noted speakers — Don Chen and Sulaiman Rahman.

'The State of Economic Development in Pottstown' — PAID updates area stakeholders | Business


POTTSTOWN — “The future is really bright for Pottstown” in terms of its economic development.
That was one of the messages Thursday from Peggy Lee-Clark, executive director of Paid Inc., the Pottstown Area Industrial Development Inc., during the organization’s “State of Economic Development of Pottstown” virtual meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to “take a pulse of where the focus is,” according to Lee-Clark, and to look at “what are the things we can accomplish that will make a difference.” She added that not everything can be done at once.

Stephen Rodriguez, Pottstown School District Superintendent and PAID Inc. board of directors president, said PAID has been “singularly focused” on economic development in Pottstown, adding that the work PAID does is important. ....
