Bengaluru, Feb 1: Union Budget for 2021-22 presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has come as a catalyst that can revive this sluggish economy, said Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in his reaction on Monday.
âI strongly believe that the budget will act as a speed booster to the economy which was badly hit due to COVID-19 pandemic,ââ the Chief Minister said.
Yediyurappa said it is impossible to expect a better budget amidst the pandemic. Despite that, this is the pro poor and pro middle class budget. ....

Bengaluru, Feb 1 : Hailing Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for coming out with a Budget that can revive the sluggish economy, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Monday said he strongly believes that the Budget will boost the economy which was badly hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ongoing Assembly session here, Yediyurappa conceded that it was impossible to expect a better Budget amid the pandemic.
Despite the pandemic, this is a pro-poor and pro-middle class Budget, he said. ....

Hailing Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for coming out with a Budget that can revive the sluggish economy, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Monday said he strongly believes that the Budget will boost the economy which was badly hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Yediyurappa conceded that it was impossible to expect a better Budget amid the pandemic. Despite the pandemic, this is a pro-poor and pro-middle class Budget, he said.
He added that the Finance Minister has announced necessary strategies for economic revival as well as containment of the pandemic.
It is a welcome measure that the vaccination drive against Covid-19 has been allocated Rs 35,000 crore and the Finance Minister assured that more funds will be provided in case of necessity, he observed. ....

Bengaluru To Get New 6-Km Metro Line On Namma Metro's Green Line On Makar Sankranti Today

Though just 6 kilometres long, the new stretch of Bengaluru s Namma Metro has five stops.

A new stretch of Bengaluru s Namma Metro train service was inaugurated on Thursday, on the occasion of Makara Sankranti, and will be thrown open to the public from today.
The stretch on Green Line connects the existing Yelachenahalli Metro Station to the Silk Institute Metro Station on Kanakapura Road a highway out of Bengaluru.
It was flagged off by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri from Delhi through video conferencing and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa who was on site with other ministers and leaders. ....
