Stegbauer receives Walter All-Scholastic Award Stevens The statewide Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award ceremony was held on April 27 in virtual format. The Ohio Educational Service Center Association sponsors the state awards. The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center presented awards to the top students from each county in the region consisting of Adams, Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties. The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award was established in 1989 by Ohio’s County Superintendents to recognize student achievement and promote academic accomplishment. One senior from each of Ohio’s eighty-eight counties receives this prestigious honor each year. Recipients are selected by virtue of their academic achievement, personal accomplishments, and community service. ....
Lynchburg-Clay seeking new superintendent Submitted story The Lynchburg-Clay Board of Education has selected the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) to assist with the selection of its next superintendent. The SOESC has many years of experience in assisting boards of education with superintendent and treasurer searches. Over the past several years, the SOESC has assisted the Blanchester, Clinton-Massie, East Clinton, Fairfield and Miami Trace Local Schools with their superintendent searches along with Blanchester, Clinton-Massie Local and Hillsboro City Schools with their treasurer searches. “We have a vested interest in finding the best possible superintendent for Lynchburg-Clay and will work with the new superintendent in continuing to provide high quality educational experiences for all the students who attend Lynchburg-Clay Schools,” stated Beth Justice, superintendent, SOESC. ....
Posted on 8208 Colorado SIPA is excited to announce the 2021 micro-grant recipients. Out of a pool of 92 applications, 33 governments received funding, totaling more than $161,000. The Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) has a long history of providing micro-grants for Colorado governments. Since 2010, more than 280 grants and $1.5 million have been awarded to government entities across the state. These micro-grants focus on assisting governments to increase adoption, usage, and safety of online services by placing more information and services online for residents. “These public-facing projects have the potential to bring incredibly positive benefits to communities from all around our great state. SIPA and its Board of Directors are honored to help Colorado governments use technology to connect with their residents,” said Ajay Bagal, SIPA’s Executive Director. ....
